Edwin was a cook in a 5-star hotel back in the days but chose to spend his retirement days and years here. He began offering his Nonya heritage dishes initially but "they don’t like too many rempah, pedas things here", so he switched and offered some simpler, less spicy fare with some Chinese favourites to please the Chinatown regulars, like onion omelette, crispy fried chicken, and even yong tau foo pieces. But he still offers some Nonya comfort fare like spicy fish otah, sayur lodeh, curry chicken (main stay item), sambal long beans, and some items change ever so often.
