You can hardly spot any more of such retro refreshment drink stalls these days. Up to 7 types of old school “wayang push cart drinks” (the itinerant hawkers that once sold food and drinks by Chine se wayang shows in the good ol’ days) are offered here. They still present them in these once ubiquitous old school transparent, thick plastic containers with a matching plastic ladle. Flavours (and colours) include bandung (pink), pineapple (yellow), coconut juice (white cloudy), soursop (white opaque), longan (brown) and own-made lemon barley (creamy white) , among others. Since they cater to a sugar-fearing older generation, they are very easy on the syrup. Give the canned drinks a skip here.
