Money and great hawker fare is a daily waltz. We got to spend wisely plus eat well every day. Of
course, we don’t mean spending as little as you can on the cheapest hawker fare. Spend a fair and
reasonable amount on something that will bring you joy and satisfaction, like a good bowl of laksa
at George’s and followed by Gula Chendol at Jalan Tua Kong. As such, we are happy to have
Maybank on board as a key supporter of this year’s Makansutra’s Ebook 2025 and 2026.
As we progress, we will eliminate some hawkers, not because they slack or turn southwards
quality wise, but because something better came along. Ours is a food culture that is not static. We will also be recognizing the nation’s best and
better heritage restaurants and serves up food
history and culture, in a new segment. You will be

over 400 establishments, deliciously supported by
