For a French inspired menu in the middle of a 3-room flat residential area, it would seem like suicide for owners Joey (Le Cordon Bleu trained) and May Ning. But they hold their own in this no-frills and practical little restaurant. From the starter, Minestrone Soup with buttered toast which sets the tone for the meal ahead, to the Beef Cheek with mashed and root vegetables, it is no ordinary "heartland" Western joint. The humble ratatouille with braised greens decked with light herbal notes and even their korubuta pork chops is enhanced with 3 French secrets: butter, butter and butter. Absolutely decadent for a faux pas vegetarian dish. They even have a rare Papillote Snapper, paper-wrapped baked fish with greens and mushrooms. Just go surprise yourself here and check out their dessert menu (Hint: burnt caramel brioche bread, cherry sauce and ice cream).
