Teochew Porridge

A famous rice porridge dish from Chaozhou or Teochew in China. Because of their proximity to the ocean, an eatery often lay out dozens, (up to 180 sometimes) dishes for you to choose to have with a humble bowl of rice porridge. Each item is designed to pair with the porridge and includes steamed fishes, clams, crispy anchovies with peanuts, steamed squid with plum sauce, salted mustard leaves, soy stewed tofu and meats can include braised chicken and minced pork balls etc.
