He was and still is a skating instructor but runs this humble yet decadent steamboat hawker stall at this out-of-nowhere food centre by the National Stadium. It is how much effort he puts into the presentation of his set platters of ingredients, inspired by Japanese shabu shabu restaurants. But we’re here for the food. His ingredients are top-notch and he personally shops for and hunts down the best around, including the occasional sojourn to Malaysia to find good stuff (he gets them delivered during the Covid season). The atmosphere is as hawker centre charming as can be and you will see a lot of true local foodies and better heeled steamboat fans asking for the daily specials which can include fine grade beef, pork, fish cakes, fresh large prawns, meat paste balls, vegetable, dumplings etc. He opens only 4 days a week.
