These folks may churn out this Singaporean dish that looks like any other, but the test is in the bite. The satay style peanut sauce is redolent with Chinese five spices and seafood stock. The result is a smooth, rich and decadent nutty sauce slathered over soft blanched beehoon with bean sprouts topped with pork, shrimps, liver, cuttlefish, cockles and kangkong greens. The sauce tastes nothing like the satay peanut sauce as a Chinese-style ingredients are layered into the paste base- extremely savoury and nutty smooth. They also sell packs of their sauce for you to put it together at home.
