Roti John
Roti John is a Singaporean creation made of onion and eggs spread on a split French loaf and then pan-grilled. It comes with a ketchup/BBQ sauce dip. It was made popular by a hawker named Shukor. It was believed Roti John was created for the former British Naval Base soldiers in Singapore (as all westerners were nicknamed John). They invited them to try with a" Selamat Makan Roti, John.
