Yam / Radish / Pumpkin Cake
Steamed yam, pumpkin and radish flour cake with dried shrimps, Chinese sausages, garnished with fried shallots, sliced chillies, spring onions and coriander leaves. This is a Cantonese favourite for breakfast or as an all-day snack.

First bite in and you get that "made by ah ma (granny)" sensation. The yam flavour comes shining through and the generous strips of yam adds to the whole experience and texture. There’re bits of hae bi or dried shrimps with mushrooms. The chilli provided is the cherry on the cake, it's crispy hae bi sambal, and the shallots provided is also an added pleasure to this snack. At $15 (press time price), this is good value if you appreciate the fine hand work behind these home-made kitchen wonders.
