These is the last few Hokkien-style Ngoh Hiang stalls in Singapore. There used to be two similar stalls here but their competitor relocated. There are only about four such Hokkien- style ngoh hiang left in Singapore. Their offerings are so similar to their erstwhile peers there that we had a hard time differentiating between them. It’s like no one wants to rock this food love boat. Similarly, they have just under 10 items and they too, make about 4-5 items by hand each day. Each item is fried again upon order for freshness and texture and it goes so well with a platter of the savoury beehoon. Never miss the handmade ones like the pink sausage, meat and liver rolls, and the fried egg/lard cake. Their chilli sits more on the tangy piquant side of sweet and has enough heat from the chilli. Their brown sauce has sweeter notes with wistful hints of red fermented tofu or nam yue.
