This old couple sells humble breakfast fare like fried beehoon and noodles and caters to the many cabbies who take a mid-morning break here. But they also prepare pots of offal stews (kway chap) with rice sheet noodles. Their edge is how they make them fresh. You can tell by the texture and flavour. The intestines come softly crunchy and the belly pork slices, tofu, etc. are all stewed over low fire in a soy herbal braise that's easy on the herbal part). Dunk them in the vinegar chilli and this meal wakes you up comfortably for your next task ahead.
