“If you don’t evolve, you die!" and that is what make bread seller Kent Wee's offerings a few notches different from the rest. He used to work for and learned special skills from other mega bread chains and now offers a supremely interesting yet comforting range of breads that he bakes on site (he also has a little central one-man-show kitchen in Hougang). The bread not to be missed is his crispy hollowed out bread ball filled with chocolate, the Chocolate Lava Baguette (warning: have some tissues handy when biting in). The chocolate is crazy generous and so easy to devour. He also has a Azuki red bean and matcha version which comes less sweet these days. There's Tiramisu bread ball and whatever he fancies creating that day. The range of garlic and cheese bread is very hearty and delightful.

Chef Daniel Tay began his journey offering bespoke cakes at his formerly-owned Baker’s Inn (later renamed Bakerzin). He sold it and moved on to a central kitchen offering a range of traditional snacks and goodies, in the form of cookies. It ranges from laksa to salted yolk chicken, cereal prawn and even hae bi hiam (dried shrimp sambal). The range evolves and grows and the pretty little designer tins it comes in, are great gift packs and the cookies inside are very addictive. They make them crispy and crumbly and the flavours are quite distinct and recognisable. You just wash them down with your favourite cuppa. His outlets are also prettily designed, with a touch of old Shanghai charm.
