Run by two Japanese Ojisan (uncles) and they just offer very simple grilled top grade beef sets. Like Kainomi, Karabi, Hanami etc nicely marbled and sliced, bite sized. Different marbling cuts and textures. You don't need much else by way of flavour and all they give is some dips which play no uplifting role to the meats. It's a DIY grill and you don't overdo it. Medium rare is best and it takes just a few moments to get it done. It averages $30-40 a pax, way cheaper than at the restaurants, in this corner of street open and alfresco kopitiam full of character.
