Former marketing professional and PMET Aries Chan gave it all up and dived head long into planet food and began offering her bespoke and very popular nasi lemak cake online (Nasi Lemak Indulgence). Then she set this up- a pretty and neat designer looking hawker stall, replete with a display shelf of retro collectibles and pastel blue wood panelling. Her blue pea coloured coconut rice is just rich enough to pair with their bigger than usual fried whole chicken leg done with a smear of dry rempah rub. It looks menacing and alluring at the same time. The selar fish come large too and is freshly fried. We love the prawn petai topping and it just takes this nasi lemak to another Nonya dimension. Her sambal has a wistful touch of sour via a smidgen of tamarind and pairs well with all those toppings.
