It's really the mee rebus we fell for (and the mee siam too, check that category). The thick stock sauce is done with krill, taucheo (miso) and basic spices and it has an old school simplicity we adore, different from some bolder ones that inject lamb and seafood into the stock. This light version reminds us of the now defunct famous Selara Rasa rendition in Bedok. And oh, they add a dollop of sambal over this mee rebus and we love it. The egg, lime, tofu, etc. all play second fiddle to the sauce and the well blanched yellow noodles.
