Korean food is very popular here and it’s also available at hawker stalls. Think kimchi stew, bulgogi sets (grilled sweet marinated beef), fried soyu chicken, seafood pancakes, sangetang, Korean bbq sets and Korean rice cakes. Increasingly more hawker stalls are offering such goodies because of the K-Pop culture phenomenon and its popularity is rising by the day.

It was a café turn hawker stall in this charming part of the north in an old shopping centre (not really a mall). They sit at the corner of the roof top hawker centre and has a commanding view of the low-rise housing estate and catches the wind, and unfortunately, the rain too. Their signature includes the Ginseng Chicken, with hardly any seasoning but some cogent flavour of slices of ginseng, very refreshing for a start. Fill up with the Kimbob, a Korean style of fotomaki and is handmade on site. Another fave is the Fried Soy Sauce Chicken (spicy or otherwise). They all go with their cold beers for sure. The Cold Ramen is a must, they freeze some soup into ice cubes placed onto he cold soup noodles. Of course, you can order the Korean Bbq set and have it on that great rooftop outdoor environment. Just pick out what you want out the oversizde picture menu stuck on the shopfront.
