When his mother Mdm Magaret Ho passed on in 2015, her son Zen carried on in their legacy in that cozy little Dulukala cafe in Beauty World, till rising rents got the better of his intents. They went on a hiatus and in mid 2025, Zen took on this coffeeshop stall and carried on where they left off. This is now one of just two Peranakan hawkers (that we currently know, aside from Charlie's) that offer a true Nonya menu. It's not just a laksa, mee siam and blue pea flower nasi lemak kinda spot. Their buah keluak, babi pongteh, rendang, chap chye, kuah lada etc..all uses a marinated and rested-overnight stew and rempah. There is a simple family recipe of stir fried ikan bilis, onions, chilli with ochra or lady fingers.
